Or else, the drive gets its power from the connection itself. It is designed to hold the rigors of being transported–built-in drop shock technology prevents it from losing data when it is accidentally dropped. Its small dimensions allow it to fit easily into a shirt or briefcase pocket.
The thorny drive features a 5400 RPM speed and an 8MB cache for outstanding performance. Connected via USB 2.0, the drive offers up to 480 Mbps throughput and with FireWire 400, it offers up to 400 Mbps throughput. The hard drive will work with both PCs and Macs, and is FAT32 preformatted for added convenience.
